مرحلة جديدة في المنافسة يدخلها مسنجر فيس بوك عن طريق تقديم ميزة مكالمات الفيديو الجماعية حتى ستة أشخاص على الأجهزة الذكية.
وكان مسنجر فيس بوك قد حصل على مكالمات الفيديو لأول مرة منذ سنة ونصف، وخلال الفترة الماضية كانت الشبكة الاجتماعية تركز كثيراً على دعم محتوى الفيديو سواء عبر الشبكة الاجتماعية أو تطبيق المسنجر، والآن تنافس فيس بوك بتطبيق محادثتها مع سكايب و Facetime بعد أن نافست تطبيقات أخرى بمزايا المحادثات النصية والصوتية أيضاً.
مسنجر فيس بوك الآن يدعم إجراء مكالمة فيديو جماعية حتى ستة أشخاص يمكنهم مشاهدة بعضهم، لكن يمكن تضمين حتى 50 شخص يستمع إلى المحادثة ويتحدث بالصوت فقط وحتى يتفاعل معها عبر إرسال الملصقات والرموز التعبيرية والصور المتحركة.
آلية عمل الميزة كما تتوقع، ابدأ محادثة نصية جماعية ثم يظهر في الأعلى زر خاص بالإتصال بالفيديو ويمكنك من خلاله اختيار الأشخاص ضمن المجموعة الذين تود إجراء الإتصال معهم وسيصلهم إشعار بذلك يمكنهم قبوله للإنضمام أو رفضه.
الميزة متاحة على أندرويد و iOS من خلال تحديث التطبيق.
